Twan studied viola with Marc Tooten at the Conservatory of Maastricht. He finished his Bachelor’s Degree classical viola with a minor in teaching in 2013. For many years he also participated in the Orlando Festival, a chamber music festival where he got masterclasses in chamber music from members of top chamber ensembles.
Twan performed in multiple symphony orchestras and had the honor to work with great conductors like Antony Hermus, Michel Tabachnik and Martin Sieghart. He also played in chamber orchestras, string quartets and other ensembles. Currently he is a violist in the Heritage Sinfonietta and performs a lot with multiple ensembles/orchestras in The Netherlands and Belgium.
